摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling position detector which improves accuracy in the detection of a lateral deviation quantity on a real road. SOLUTION: A magnetic sensor 1 detects the distribution of magnetic fields from a magnetic marker and inputs a detected magnetic field signal 101 to a signal operating part 3. A car speed sensor 2 detects the speed of a traveling vehicle and inputs a detected speed signal 102 to the signal operating part 3. On the basis of the detected speed signal 102, a delay circuit 11 delays the detected magnetic field signal 101 and generates a delayed magnetic field signal 103. An inverter circuit 12 inverts the delayed magnetic field signal 103 and generates an inverted magnetic field signal 104. An adding circuit 13 adds the detected magnetic field signal 101 and the inverted magnetic field signal 104 and inputs a differential magnetic field signal 105 to a deviation quantity operating part 4. A peak detecting part 14 detects a forward peak value from the differential magnetic field signal 105 and a deviation quantity detecting part 15 finds the lateral deviation quantity of the traveling vehicle from the forward peak value.
