PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TS packet processing system that is compatible with a different system so as to attain real time processing. SOLUTION: Synchronization of a TS packet 5 is programmably taken, PID(Packet Payload ID) filtering is performed for a PID part 13 of the TS packet 5 programmably, PID filtering is performed for the PID part 13 of the TS packet 5 programmably, and descrambling is programmably performed only for a head part 17 of a Payload 6 of the TS packet 5. Section/PES filtering is performed for the head part 17 subjected to performing of the descrambling, the entire Payload 6 of the TS packet 5 subjected to performing of the PID filtering is fed to an exclusive H/W processing section 7, where the entire describing and the CRC processing of the Payload 6 of the TS packet subjected to performing of the PID filtering are reformed by the hardware. The programmable processing and the hardware processing are subjected to parallel processing at the same time and real time processing is performed while being flexibly compatible with different systems.
