PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the width in the radial direction of an optical disk of a pit to be formed from unnecessarily becoming large even when the diameter of a beam spot is larger with respect to a track pitch of the optical disk. SOLUTION: The pit longer than the spot diameter of the beam spot formed on the recording surface of the optical disk by a laser beam is formed, and an RF signal is obtained from this pit, then a recording pulse is corrected so that a bottom level of this RF signal becomes constant, i.e., so that the signal level at a point (a) representing the time point whereon the beam spot of the RF signal waveform is saturated with the pit, becomes equal to the signal level at a point (b) representing the time point whereon the pit beings to get out from the beam spot. |
