PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor porcelain device such as a PTC thermistor which is possessed of a semiconductor porcelain whose temperature at which it starts increasing in resistance is low and resistance change rate is high. SOLUTION: A PTC thermistor 10 includes a disk-shaped semiconductor porcelain 12. Outer electrodes 14a and 14b are formed on both the main surfaces of the semiconductor porcelain 12 respectively for the formation of the PTC thermistor 10. The semiconductor porcelain 12 is formed of semiconductor porcelain composition which is obtained by dispersing an BiIn alloy whose In:Bi compositional ratio is 0.2 to 0.8:1 into an inorganic material matrix of resistivity 1 kΩ.cm. |
