PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency detection circuit that can detect a frequency with high accuracy from a signal where a burst signal part for carrier synchronization appears in terms of a burst such as a BPSK modulation signal for a BS digital broadcasting. SOLUTION: A carrier synchronization signal part with a burst length Ta (Ta=4 symbols) is arranged while being overlapped on a range of a prescribed period Tc (Tc=410 symbols) longer than a burst period Tb (Tb=207 symbols) of an input signal in an overwrite form by using the period Tc for its period. Discrete Fourier Transform(DFT) is applied to the signal pattern where the carrier synchronization signal part is placed within the period Tc to detect a carrier frequency of the input signal.
