PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device with which changes in the density of a printing picture due to the degradation of a device or changes in the environment can be restrained, and a printed matter of fixed image quality can always be obtained. SOLUTION: The image forming device 1 having an EP cartridge 2 is provided with a storage means 15 in the EP cartridge 2. An environmental state sensor 17 to acquire environmental information in the device 1 is provided near the EP cartridge 2. Developing characteristics data representing the developing characteristics of an image forming means based on the environmental information acquired by the environmental state sensor 17 and the number of printing sheets are previously stored in the storage means 15. A control part 11 has a function for controlling the storage of the number of printing sheets, which stores the number of printing sheets in the storage means 15, and an electrical potential setting control function for setting the operation electrical potential of the image forming means on the basis of the number of printing sheets, the environmental information acquired by the environmental state sensor 17 and the developing characteristics data. |
