PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and an image forming method which can deal with various representation techniques including gradation and make its plotting processing efficient. SOLUTION: An output job analyzing part 10 analyzes a plotting instruction included in an output job inputted from an output instructing device, and a graphic plotting instruction is sent to a graphic pattern judging part 20. The judging part 20 judges whether or not the graphic plotting instruction is to form a gradation pattern where a graphic pattern is arranged along a prescribed arrangement axis, and when the gradation pattern is formed, a gradation processing part 24 converts the plotting instruction so as to make plotting processing efficient. Thus, it is possible to deal with the various representation techniques including gradation and to realize the image forming device 1 capable of making the plotting processing efficient and accelerating the plotting processing. |
