PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving target tracking system which is free from a blind spot without using a mechanical portion. SOLUTION: The moving target tracking system captures visual field information of 360 deg. of a circumference by an optical system using a hyperbolic mirror 10, converts the information obtained by the optical system into image information by one steady camera 11, image processes the image information by an image processing board 12 to detect a moving target, and tracks the target. The image of all directions obtained by the mirror 10 can be converted into a panoramic image by the image processing or into a perspective projection transformation. The image processing can be then accelerated by processing the image information by using a conversion table in response to resolution of the photographed image or using only one type of data of RGB data of the photographed image.
