PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal terminal fitting and a connector of which the metal terminal fitting can be easily attached to a connector housing while miniaturizing the connector. SOLUTION: When connecting both connectors 10 and 30 by using the metal terminal fitting 40, a contacting component 60 is pinched and elastically deformed between tip end faces 20A and 40A of both metal fittings 20 and 40, which the elastic force secures contact pressure between both metal fittings 20 and 40. Since the contact component 60 is retained with a holder 50 at the tip end face 40A of the metal terminal fitting 40, no such complicated work is needed as an electric wire is penetrated in a compression coil spring as with a conventional metal terminal fittings. Moreover, since it is not necessary to make the metal terminal fittings slide like in the conventional ones, miniaturization of the connector attached the metal terminal fitting 40 can be attained.
