PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that information written onto film is hardly visible because overexposure easily occurs at the time of close-up photographing using auxiliary light such as electronic flash light or in the case of using high- sensitivity film in a conventional recorder for writing information on the film loaded in a camera. SOLUTION: The luminance (BV value of a field to be photographed is obtained from the result of photometry performed with an SPD 59 and a photometric circuit 58, and an exposure value (EV value) is obtained with a DX detection circuit 83. Furthermore, reference writing exposure time (writing exposure) based on film sensitivity is derived, and the amount of correction is obtained from the BV value according to correction characteristics previously decided from the relation between the luminance of the field to be photographed and the exposure value so as to correct the reference writing exposure time (wiring exposure). Then, the date and information of photographing are written on the film by a writing module 79 according to the corrected writing time (writing exposure) with the recorder for the camera.
