PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotational penetration steel pipe pile having improved propelling force during rotational pile driving even if an upper diameter- increased steel pipe pile has a large diameter and allowing ideal penetration construction in accordance with the pitch of a spiral vane even if the steel pipe pile has a medium diameter, and its work execution method. SOLUTION: The steel pipe pile body 1 consists of an upper side steel pipe 2 having a large diameter D1 and a lower side steel pipe 3 having a small diameter D2 (D2<D1). An end 3a of the lower side steel pipe 3 is spirally notched, and a first spiral vane 10 of at least one turn is provided corresponding to the spirally notched form. A second spiral vane 20 is provided at or near a diameter-increased boundary portion L of the steel pipe pile body 1.
