METHOD FOR DEPHOSPHORIZING MOLTEN IRON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dephosphorizing method in a pretreatment of molten iron excellent in dephosphoring oxygen efficiency even without using fluorite or chloride of alkali metal. SOLUTION: In pretreating method of the molten iron for dephosphorizing by adding refining agent into the molten iron held in a converter provided with a top bottom-combined gas blowing function and stirring the molten iron with gas blown from a tuyere at the furnace bottom while top-blowing the oxygen gas, sintered ore of >=20 kg/t is used in a part of the above refining agent, and the amount of oxygen which the sintered ore brings into the molten iron is restricted to a certain level.
