The shield (1) at least partially covers the integrated circuit (13). A masking compound which is applied to the substrate mechanically protects the integrated circuit. The shield (1) comprises a switch device (6) which enables a capacitive measuring method to be carried out in a first switch state, and which enables any damage to the shield to be detected in a second switch state.
