PURPOSE: A method for a task layout of a communication control unit of a traffic signal control system is provided to stably and remotely control a traffic signal controller by securing permissible operating hours upon requesting simultaneous calculation of many intersections. CONSTITUTION: A traffic signal control system comprises a signal control server(110), a communication control unit(100) and a traffic signal controller(130). The communication control unit is constituted into a Recv task(101,103), a Send task, a Siot task(102) and a shared memory(104). The Recv task receives signal plan information, signal control variable and manager order information from the signal control server and transmits it to the shared memory in a demand queue mode. The Siot task receives materials of detector, traffic signal controller operation by second unit and by cyclic unit, and demand of manager from the traffic signal controller and transmits the same to the Send task in a message queue mode. The Send task receives materials of detector, traffic signal controller operation by second unit and by cyclic unit, demand of manager, communication control unit signal plan, and intersection control information from the Siot task and transmits the same to the signal control server.
