SUPERVISION SYSTEM FOR JUNCTION IN ROAD USING IMAGE PROCESSING

PURPOSE: A supervision system for a junction in the road using image processing is provided to prevent a vehicle from illegally entering into a junction in the road by supervising a vehicle using a camera installed around the junction. CONSTITUTION: A supervision system for junction in road using image processing comprises a fixed camera(110), a progressive camera(120), a monitoring server(130), and a control system(200). The fixed camera is installed around the junction in the road to photograph a certain region. The progressive camera is installed around the fixed camera so as to chase and photograph a vehicle according to internal alarm signal received from outside, transmitting image to the monitoring server. The monitoring server receives image from the fixed camera and compares previous image with subsequent image to output internal alarm signal to the monitoring camera in case that movement of vehicle is occurred. Image from the monitoring camera is compared with reference image signal so that image transmitted at the time of capable of photographing a vehicle's number is converted into image data. The image data are transmitted outside through a communication unit. When receiving signal is received from outside, image stored in an internal storage unit is removed. The control system stores image data from the monitoring server and identifies the vehicle's number using the data to transmit a notice for payment of a fine to automobilist.
