PURPOSE: A system for transmitting a caller's intrinsic code and a method for forming a call path therein are provided to make an intrinsic code generator retransmit an intrinsic code in case that a transmission error is generated during the transmission of an intrinsic code from the intrinsic code generator to a receiver side's computer. CONSTITUTION: A system for transmitting a caller's intrinsic code consists of a telephone(100), an intrinsic code generator(200), a PSTN(300), and a receiver side computer(400). The intrinsic code generator(200), arranged between the telephone(100) and a trunk line, transmits an intrinsic code corresponding to a subscriber number to the trunk line in the off-hook state of the telephone(100). The receiver side computer(400) receives the intrinsic code through the PSTN(300). The intrinsic code generator(200) is composed of an interface(201), a non-volatile memory(204), an origination key(203), and a control part(202). The interface(201) generates or receives a DTMF signal when data are transmitted/received between the telephone(100) and the trunk line. The non-volatile memory(204) stores intrinsic codes corresponding to subscriber numbers. The origination key(203) is used when a user makes a phone call or transmits an intrinsic code. Based on a transmission selection by the operation of the origination key(203), the control part(202) calls the telephone number of the receiver side computer(400), accesses the computer(400) through the interface(201), and transmits an intrinsic code.
