PURPOSE: A method for controlling an indoor fan in an air conditioner is provided to differ temperature controlling the indoor fan according to indoor temperature at low temperature and to improve heating efficiency of the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling an indoor fan of an air conditioner comprises a first stage detecting indoor pipe temperature; a second stage changing speed of the indoor fan according to the detected indoor pipe temperature; a third stage controlling operational temperature of the indoor fan by increasing or dropping temperature of the indoor fan according to the detected indoor pipe temperature; and a forth stage controlling the indoor fan based on decided speed and operational temperature. The indoor fan is controlled by a control unit to promote heat exchange between refrigerant flowing a pipe of a condenser and indoor air. Thereby, the method for controlling the indoor fan of the air conditioner improves heating efficiency by controlling temperature of the indoor fan.
