PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent data missing or deterioration in transmission efficiency when data is simultaneously transmitted to a communication station from a plurality of communication stations, in an optical network transmission system in which a plurality of communication stations are connected so as to form a ring. SOLUTION: In an optical transmitter/receiver which is used as a communication station included in the optical transmission system, a first branching section 11 separates an optical signal Sp1 having a wavelength λk allocated to the self-station from a received wavelength multiple optical signal Swmpi. A second branching section 13 separates an optical signal Sp3 having a wavelength λx allocated to a transmission destination station (target station), and an optical modulation section 14 modulates the optical signal Sp3 with an electric signal Sek for transmission having a carrier frequency fk inherent in the self-station. A light source 16 outputs a non-modulation light Ssk having a wavelength allocated to the self-station, and a second synthesizer section 17 synthesizes the non-modulation light Ssk with an optical signal Sp4 having another wavelength. By constructing this way, a multiple wave is formed by electric signals for transmission from respective communication stations. |
