PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EMI probe which can accurately capture radiation noises over a wide frequency range radiated from an electronic appliance or the like in terms of unidirectivity and isotropy, in three-dimensional directions or the like. SOLUTION: The EMI probe have sensitivity characteristics, in terms of unidirectivity and isotropy or in three-dimensional directions in structure, and what is basic here is unidirectivity. The feature thereof is the formation of a detection surface (11) of radiation noises in a balance type loop coil with a coplanar guideline structure and moreover, the detection surface (11) is integrated with a balun (13). The radiation noises are detected on the side of a slit (10), added for the detection of a magnetic field, and the characteristic impedance is realized in a range of 25 to 100Ω, to cover a wider frequency range from 10 MHz to 1 GHz, thereby realizing superior characteristics with SWR of 2 or smaller. The effect of electric field as an error factor can be checked and reduced to a level of about 20 dB or higher, similarly to that in the conventional sealed loop probe, even through the structure is simpler than it.
