PURPOSE: Provided is a preparation method of red fluorescent material with monoclinic and cubic phase by using flame spray pyrolysis, wherein sprayed droplet is an individual fluorescent material having perfect spherical shapes with the filled inside and is uniformly distributed without coagulation. The material is used in the plasma display, field emission display and for the lamp in the cathode-ray tube. CONSTITUTION: The above red fluorescent material is represented by the formula 1:(YxGd1-x)2O3:Eu, wherein 0<=x<=1. The preparation method comprises: making a 0.02-3M precursor solution by dissolving fluorescent main body consisting Y and Gd or their mixture and Eu activator in the distilled water, wherein a doping concentration of Eu to one mole of main body is 0.5-15mol.%, and the main body and the activator are selected from their nitrate, acetate and chloride; adding 1-30wt.% of the melting agent chosen from LiCl, KCl, NaCl, Li2CO3, Na2CO3, H3BO3 or their mixture of more than 2; making droplet of the above material with 0.1-100 micrometers of diameter by introducing the above precursor solution into a spray machine such as microwave, air nozzle, microwave nozzle and filter expansion aerosol generator; passing the above droplets through a diffusion flame reactor at 1,500-3,000deg.C; and heat treating the fluorescent droplets at 600-1,500deg.C and making them into a monoclinic or cubic shape. |
