PURPOSE: A method for improving the strength of an inner support is provided to improve the sectional strength of an inner support by filling concrete in the lower portion of a box girder section. CONSTITUTION: A method for improving the strength of an inner support comprises the steps of installing a front end connecting member in the lower portion of a box girder section corresponding to 10% of the length of a span and filling concrete in the section of 10% of the span. The section of a steel box girder bridge is formed as an equal section or an unequal section.
