PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for sealing an FED and a PDP are provided to remove thermal deviation and enhance thermal efficiency by protecting the heat generated from a heat material inside a sinter material, thereby improve an accuracy of an alignment. CONSTITUTION: An FED/PDP(4) is composed of an upper panel(41) and a lower panel(42) inside a vacuum chamber(3). A frit(43) is plated and fixed between the upper panel(41) and a lower panel(42). An alignment reference line is formed to accurately align the upper panel(41) and the lower panel(42) at an edge side of the upper panel(41) and the lower panel(42). A pre-heating unit(5) is fixed to preheat the lower panel(42) at constant temperature. A laser beam radiating unit(6) is fixed at the upper place of the upper panel to seal the upper panel(41) and the lower panel(42) by melting the frit(43).
