PURPOSE: To maintain a sufficient locking effect for a long time even without severe dimension accuracy in production and to prevent an exposed sharp edge component so that a human body may not touch, even when dismounting the antenna rod. CONSTITUTION: In an on-vehicle rod antenna device 20 constituted by connecting an antenna rod 23 to a joint assembly 22 of an antenna pedestal 21, the joint assembly part 22 is provided with a joint part 22c for screwing and connecting the antenna rod 23 and a top end part 22a which is to be covered in the state of connecting the antenna rod 23 and formed with almost semispherical projecting parts 22b, 22b,..., which are fitted with recessed parts 23b, 23b,... on the inner peripheral surface of the antenna rod, on an outer peripheral surface while embedding the joint part 22c in a central axis part so as not to be exposed outside.
