ULTRASONIC WAVE GUIDE APPARATUS FOR POWER DEVICE DIAGNOSIS

PURPOSE: An ultrasonic wave guide apparatus is provided to achieve an improved reliability of the power device diagnosis by accurately measuring only the ultrasonic wave generated due to the partial discharge upon occurrence of abnormality of the power device. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a power device outer box(10) having a hole(11), and a plurality of bolts(12a) protruded from the outer surface of the outer box around the hole; an ultrasonic wave transfer medium blocking the hole formed at the power device outer box; a cut-off unit for preventing the ultrasonic wave from being transferred to the center of the hole from the outer box; and an ultrasonic wave measuring unit installed at the outer surface of the ultrasonic wave transfer medium within the ultrasonic wave cut-off region of the hole formed by the cut-off unit. The cut-off unit includes one or more O-rings(41,42) fit to the hole so as to isolate the noise and ultrasonic wave being transferred toward the center of the hole, and prevent leakage of insulation oil or gas from the outer box; and a circular support member(32) coupled to the outer box and which supports the O-rings.
