TENSION ADJUSTOR OF TAPE RECORDER

PURPOSE: A tension adjustor of a tape recorder is provided to supply braking force even though the width of a brake pad is reduced, by changing a tension band into a brake pad of bar structure and supplying the compressive fore of a tensile spring to a feed reel via the brake pad. CONSTITUTION: A tension adjustor includes a brake lever(60) mounted on a deck rotatably, a tension lever(70) driven by the brake lever and having a tension pole(72), and a spring(80) elastically biasing the brake lever in one direction. The brake lever is manufactured by a pressed metal plate A friction pad(62) is attached to a side of the brake lever while the spring is connected to the other side to provide compressive force for closely adhering the friction pad to a feed reel(52). The compressive force of the spring is provided directly to the feed reel by the brake lever of bar structure. The friction pad is attached to a surface contacted with the outside of the feed reel to increase friction force per unit area. Thereby, the tension is adjusted sufficiently even though the area of the friction pad is reduced.
