PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take a blood vessel image for tracking by an imaging means and, using imaging signals thereof, to measure the diameter of the blood vessel. SOLUTION: A system control part judges (S4) whether or not it is the timing to read out a blood vessel image taken by a one dimensional CCD 30a for tracking and generates a blood vessel image. Then data representing the quantity of movement of the blood vessel image based on the blood image signals is produced and tracking of a blood vessel Ev on a measured part is executed (S5). When input of starting measurement is detected (S8), a timer to count signal accumulating time of taking the blood vessel image is actuated (S10). Whether or not it is timing to read out the blood vessel image taken by the one dimensional CCD 30b for tracking is judged (S11). If it is the timing to read out, the taken blood vessel image is read out (S12) as the blood vessel image for blood vessel diameter calculation. |
