PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt-type vacuum packaging machine with a simple structure wherein washing, cleaning and maintenance can be simply done against a contamination on a rear face of a carrying belt, an upper surface of a surface plate and the interior of an apparatus by a liquid or the like leaking from an object to be packaged. SOLUTION: The carrying belt 2 is sectioned into a carrying belt 201 on a side fixed in its traveling direction and a carrying belt 200 on a detachable side. Joint ends of the belt 200 on the detachable side and the belt 201 on the fixed side are coupled with each other by a coupling or a hinge 5 which can be mounted/removed, thereby allowing a part of the carrying belt 2 to be simply detached. The carrying belt is intermittently traveled or appropriately stopped temporarily, while the carrying belt 200 on the detachable side is removed to expose the rear face of the belt, the upper surface of the surface plate and the interior of the apparatus, thereby simply washing, cleaning and maintaining.
