METHOD FOR RECOVERING AND PURIFYING CYCLOBUTANONE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering and purifying cyclobutanone, by which the cyclobutanone having a purity of >=90% can be recovered. SOLUTION: This method for recovering and purifying the cyclobutanone from a crude product mixture obtained from an oxidation product mixture produced by the oxidation of cyclobutanol into the cyclobutanone in the presence of water is disclosed. The method provides the recovery of the cyclobutanone having a purity of at least 90 wt.% by the combination of a new distillation process.
