PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a release liner capable of smoothly peeling a release layer and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer even if a silicone release agent is not used in the peel layer and having antistatic properties at the time of peeling. SOLUTION: The release liner is obtained by forming a vapor deposition layer comprising a metal selected from Al, Ag, Au and Ni on at least the single surface of a base material film, and providing the release layer comprising a polyolefin resin on the vapor deposition layer. For example, by laminating the release liner on the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape not having the trouble caused by a silicone compound and excellent in antistatic properties can be obtained.
