PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for forming a composite image capable of binding monochrome image transfer paper and color image recording paper at a high speed in a pre-specified order without remarkably changing a composite image forming device body, capable of meeting various types of paper feeding requirements by providing multi-stage paper feeding trays for insertion, and capable of forming a color image. SOLUTION: This composite image forming device comprises an electronic photo image forming device and a recording device having an after-treatment device of ink jet system. The multi-stage paper feeding trays for insertion are installed in the after-treatment device on the upstream side of the recording device of ink jet system in paper feeding direction. At least one of the multi- stage paper feeding trays is for the recording device of ink jet system.
