PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-absorbing container which itself has good water absorption properties without preventing a function as a container while productivity is further taken into consideration to solve a problem that, in an article housed in a container for sale, a liquid oozing from the article or the like not only makes its appearance unattractive but also deteriorates the article or the liquid sometimes leaks out of the container so that it is desirable to have the liquid absorbed. SOLUTION: The water-absorbing container comprising a nonwoven fabric of water-absorbing fibers integrally molded with the inside of a container body is provided as a means for solving the problem. While known fibers having a nature of absorbing moisture can be used as the water-absorbing fibers, water- absorbing fibers comprising a water-absorbing resin carried in fibers to serve as a core is more preferably used.
