PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire capable of attaining low noise and low fuel consumption by promoting reduction of rigidity and lightening of a belt layer as much as possible and maintaining durability without impairing steering stability. SOLUTION: This pneumatic radial tire 1 has a belt part 2 made of two belt layers arranged so that reinforcing cords cross with each other at an angle of 60 degrees to 80 degrees around the tire circumferential direction as their center and a belt reinforcing layer 4 constituted as the reinforcing cords are spirally and continuously wound around in the tire circumferential direction and arranged outside in the tire radial direction of the belt layer, the reinforcing cord of the inside layer in the tire radial direction of the belt layer 3A is made of an organic fiber cord, the reinforcing cord of the outside layer in the tire radial direction of the belt layer 3B is made of a steel cord, and the reinforcing cord of the belt reinforcing layer 4 is made of the organic fiber cord.
