PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recyclable material to be recorded preliminarily provided with a non-peeled image and capable of selectively removing a printing material such as toner. SOLUTION: The recyclable material to be recorded has at least a base material and a surface layer comprising a water swellable resin, is constituted so as to be capable of peeling the printing material formed on the surface layer by applying an aqueous solvent to the surface layer, and has an image not becoming peelable even if the material to be recorded is immersed in or exposed to the aqueous solvent.
