PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for unloading moldings by which time required for unloading the moldings is shortened while being interlocked with the operation of a molding machine and thereby the production efficiency is increased as well as a device for unloading the moldings. SOLUTION: This method for unloading the moldings comprises the steps to move an unloading arm (32) while it is interlocked with a movable half (16) of a mold of the molding machine (2) and unload the moldings from the movable half (18). The unloading arm (32) is allowed to enter between a fixed half (16) and the movable half (18) of the mold and follow up with the movement of the movable half (18). Then the moldings (20) are unloaded from the stopped movable half (18), and the unloading arm (32) is retreated to the outside of a set region (33) at a higher retreating velocity than its entering velocity into the set region (33) before or after the movable half (18) begins moving to the fixed half (16) side. Thus it is possible to shorten the time required for unloading the moldings (20) and increase the production efficiency.
