PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover holding structure capable of rigidly holding a cover member by easily and positively locking the cover member not only at a deep part but also at a front part in a single operation by a simple structure. SOLUTION: This cover holding structure for the cover member 2 housing an instrument panel apparatus and held in an instrument panel frame 1 so that it can be drawn is characterized by that it is composed so as to hold the cover member 3 in the instrument panel frame 1 by protrusively providing locking pawls 4A, 4B, 7, and 7 in the front part and the deep part of the cover member 2 and locking these locking pawls 4A, 4B, 7, and 7 to corresponding front part holding part 1A and deep part holding part 1B of the instrument panel frame 1. The number of parts can be reduced by abolishing screws and pins conventionally used for attachment, the cover member can be easily and positively inserted and set in a single operation just by installing simple structured locking pawls or the like, and since the cover member is locked not only at the deep part but also at the front part, it can be positively and rigidly held at multiple points.
