METHOD OF PREVENTING ADHESION OF SILICATE-CONTAINING SCALE OF HEAT EXCHANGER AND REMOVING THE SCALE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which is effectively preventing or suppressing the adhesion of scale containing silicate to the pipe wall surfaces of a heat exchanger even without using a chemical agent and is capable of effectively removing the scale once adhered to the pipe wall surfaces without requiring stopping of the heat exchanger. SOLUTION: This method of preventing the adhesion of the silicate-containing scale of the heat exchanger characterized in that tourmaline moldings consisting of many tourmaline particulates and inorganic insulators are disposed in the arbitrary positions on an upstream side of a water course for the primary cooling water (aqueous medium rising to a high temperature by coming into contact with a heat source) and/or secondary cooling water supplied to the heat exchanger and the method of removing the silicate-containing scale adhered to the inside of the heat exchanger.
