PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an alkali aqueous solution containing o-phenylphenol(OPP) in high concentration and kept stable at low temperatures without causing crystallization. SOLUTION: This mixture contains the o-phenylphenol and a base in a molar ratio of (1:1.0)-(1:1.5) and is regulated so that the proportion of the o- phenylphenol in the mixture may be 30-55 wt.%.
