PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound that shows extremely high solubility in a solvent and is not liable to crystallize and that has a magenta color with a good color tone. SOLUTION: The compound is represented by formula (I) [wherein R1 and R2 are each independently hydrogen, an alkyl group which may be substituted or an aryl group which may be substituted; R3 and R4 are each independently hydrogen, a halogen atom, an alkyl group which may be substituted, an alkoxy group which may be substituted, an aryl group which may be substituted, an aryloxy group which may be substituted, -COOR7 -CONR8R9, -NHSO2R10 or -NHCOR11 (wherein R7 to R11 are each independently hydrogen, an alkyl group which may be substituted, an alkoxy group which may be substituted, an aryl group which may be substituted or an aryloxy group which may be substituted); and R5 and R6 are each independently hydrogen, an alkyl group which may be substituted or an aryl group which may be substituted]. A dyestuff for heat-sensitive transfer recording uses the compound. An ink composition for heat-sensitive transfer recording uses the compound as the dyestuff for heat-sensitive transfer recording. A transfer sheet for heat-sensitive transfer recording uses the compound as the dyestuff for heat-sensitive transfer recording. |
