PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new neurite elongation agent showing neurite elongation effect on neurocytes without adverse drug reactions. SOLUTION: It is found out that a polyalkoxyflavonoid having a specific structure, particularly tangeritin or nobiletin exhibits neurite elongation effect. Further, it is found out that an extract from a plant belonging to the family Rutaceae containing this polyalkoxyflavonoid also exhibits the neurite elongation effect. |
