PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a short arc xenon lamp device which can harden a photosensitive resin in a short time without generating strain in the resin even the resin is thick, and can be minimized in size as a whole. SOLUTION: This short arc xenon lamp device 1 is lit for less than 15 seconds once. The short arc xenon lamp 11 comprises a quartz arc tube 12, on both ends of which a pair of electrodes 14, 15 are sealed up, and into which xenon gas is sealed. When the lamp power is made P1 (W), the volume inside the lamp V (ml), and sealing pressure of xenon gas P (atm), L/P1<=0.01, P1/V>=200, and P>=5, and the lamp power P1 is 100% when the lamp voltage in the initial stage of life in stable lighting time is assumed V1 (V) and the lamp power P1 is 85% when in a range 2/3V1-4/3V1. |
