PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gelatinous material which has enlarged functions of gelatin and helps to introduce various uses of water-insoluble and photographically useful substances stably in photographic elements. SOLUTION: The gelatin-grafted polyester compound comprises an amide bond formed by the reaction between the carboxyl group of a polyester compound and the amino group of gelatin, wherein, a mass ratio of the gelatin and the polyester compound is 50:1-1:2.
