PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a thermal head of a common supply type to either end in which a difference of resistance value changes of heating elements generated in recording images is considerably small, and therefore high-quality images can be recorded for a long term without any image density irregularity caused by the difference, and a thermal recording apparatus using the same. SOLUTION: According to this method of manufacturing the thermal head of the common supply type to either end, a driving electricity is supplied from heating elements at the side of both ends in a horizontal scanning direction of the thermal head, and moreover, the resistance value of each heating element is changed beforehand by a predetermined value by applying a nearly uniform energy through a resistance value correction and a correction conforming to a voltage drop amount at a position in the horizontal scanning direction.
