PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the epock-making gas discharge device of a mold simple in constitution, certainly achieving gas discharge function, easy to manufacture, excellent in mass productivity, having durability and easy in maintenance. SOLUTION: The gas discharge device of the mold, which is provided in the cavity 1 of the mold and discharging the gas generated in the cavity 1 to the outside, is constituted of a grooved block 4 having the discharge hole parts 2 provided to the cavity 1 or groove parts directly communicating with the outside and a locking block 6 having the locking parts 5 locked with the groove parts 3. Gas is discharged to the discharge hole parts or directly discharged to the outside from the locking gaps 7 of the groove parts 3 and the locking parts 5, and the shapes of the groove parts 3 and the locking parts 5 are set so that the locking gaps 7 of the groove parts 3 and the locking parts 5 locked with each other on the side of the inner surface of the cavity 1 are smaller than those on the side of the opposite surface of the cavity.
