PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable recycling of a scrap or grinding waste generated during the production and an used filter, to impart flexibility, by making the adjustment of filtration performance easy, and to reduce a cost by simplifying the produc tion process. SOLUTION: This filter medium for liquid consists of a foamed resin molding is produced in such process that nonwoven fabrics which are temporally adhered by hot-melting is impregnated with a liquid phenol resin to which a foaming agent is added, is molded and is thermally treated. The foamed resin molding consists of the fiber reinforcing part scattered on the surface and the inside and the opening parts generated by continuous foaming.
