PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fold a table plate and to store it along a stay, even in a a bed side table having a structure with the supporting height smaller than the length of the table plate. SOLUTION: When the elevating/lowering stay 4 is elevated to an upper limit, a stopper receiver 14 is stopped by a stay stopper 17, a wire-like member 16 is pulled against a spring member 12, and a lock bar 13 is detached from a receiving part 11 on a back side of the table plate 7 to unlock the table plate 7. Next, the table plate 7 is elevated from a sub table 5, and stored along the elevating/lowering stay 4. Then, the elevating/lowering stay 4 is lowered so as to allow the tip of the table plate 7 to abut on a recess 9 of a leg part 2.
