PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-resistant container-shaped molded object excellent in dynamic physical properties such as strength, elasticity modulus or the like and surface properties and generating no toxic gas even if incinerated. SOLUTION: The water-resistant container-shaped molded object having sufficient rigidity is obtained by polymerizing a resin composition based on 100 pts.wt. of a norbornene polymer, not less than 30 pts.wt. of at least one kind of a filler among calcium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide and fly ash and a polymerization catalyst. The water-resistant container-shaped molded object is manufactured by injecting an A-liquid 11, which is prepared by premixing 100 pts.wt. of the norbornena polymer and not less than 30 pts. of at least one kind of the filler among calcium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide and fly ash, and a B-liquid 12, which comprises the polymerization catalyst diluted by a diluent, in a mold 15 under pressure of 490 kPa (5 kg/cm2) or less by an injection device having a static mixer at the injection tip part thereof.
