PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material cutting apparatus capable of certainly cutting even a thick sheet material such as corrugated cardboard, or the like. SOLUTION: The sheet material cutting apparatus has a pair of roller cutters 5 and 6 wherein a large number of circular blades 8 (10) having a predetermined thickness are parallely provided in the directions of axes A (B), and the circular blades 8 in one roller cutter 5 and the circular blades 10 in the other roller cutter 6 are arranged so as to be fitted in mutually to revolve a pair of the roller cutters 5, 6 in mutually reverse directions, and the sheet material passed through the gap between a pair of the roller cutters 5, 6 is cut by the outer peripheral edge parts of the circular blades 8 and 10. Notches 23 having pawl parts provided to the rear end parts thereof in the revolving direction are partially formed to the outer peripheral surfaces of circular blades 8 and 10 and arranged so as not to align with the notches 23 of the circular blades of the other roller cutter.
