PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide whirling flow type flocculating/separation equipment which can eliminate a sedimentation/separation tank with long residence time and can execute flocculating/separation in a tank at the same time. SOLUTION: A porous member 4 for dividing an internal space to an upper separation region 2a and a lower flocculation region 2b is disposed in a flocculating/separation tank 2 into which a liquid mixture composed of raw water and a flocculating agent is introduced. A treated water output part 8 for guiding out separated water is arranged at the upper separation region 2a. An stirring blade 5 of a radial flow type for generating whirling flow A is disposed at the lower flocculation region 2b. A guide plate 6 for converting the whirling flow A to downward flow B is erected at a central part of a lower surface of the porous member 4.
