PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a porous film capable of forming a plurality of strip-like perforated regions at a desired interval along a widthwise direction on a long-sized film. SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing the porous film comprises a perforating unit having a first roll including a sharp corner and many particles each having a Mohs' hardness of 5 or more and adhered to its surface, guide roll rings disposed near both ends, and a second roll including a strip-like protrusion formed on an outer peripheral surface between these guide rolls and including an actuate surface in plane with the outer peripheral surface of the guide roll, so that the first and second rolls are oppositely disposed at their outer peripheral surfaces, a long-sized film is passed, one of the rolls is fixed, and the other is movably disposed to the one roll; a pressure regulating means for pressing the movable roll toward the fixed roll; and a drive means for rotating the fist and second rolls.
