PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for irradiation of the eye for ophthalmologic operation, refraction correction operation, and laser treatment. SOLUTION: The crystalline lens is irradiated with controlled therapeutic radioactive rays excess in quantity to absorbed by the cornea within a long wave length range of UV-A and/or a visible and/or near-infrared range, and/or the cornea is irradiated by a method regulated by curing radioactive rays of near-infrared wave length over 1.3 μm, and, thereby, an irreversible chemical change by local photoinduction to the crystallin lens and/or cornea is generated so as to change refraction and/or transmittance to prescribed parameters. This method and device to irradiate an eye is constituted by the principle that visual defect is reduced as a result and specific optical factors and electronic factors act. |
